Forza Horizon 6 City Life Update Adds 14 Cars and Wipes the Leaderboards, but Is It Worth Coming Back?

The Forza Horizon 6 City Life update is out now on Xbox Series X|S and PC, bringing two new permanent race routes, a fresh batch of engine swaps, 14 new cars across the Festival Playlist and Car Pass, and, slightly hilariously, an IKEA prop pack, because nothing says high-speed Japanese street racing quite like flat-pack furniture.

It also wipes every PR Stunt leaderboard in the game after Playground spotted a load of “unrealistic entries”, which is a polite way of saying some people have been cheating. So is City Life a meaty update worth jumping back in for, or just a car-shaped shop window for the Car Pass? Let’s find out!

What’s Actually in the Forza Horizon 6 City Life Update?

According to MP1st, the update is version 3.479.874, and some of it went live on 2 November, while the City Life limited-time series kicks off on 5 November and runs until 3 December. Here’s what’s landed:

  • New permanent routes: Edo Circuit Road Race and Shuto Charge Street Race
  • Engine swaps: A big new batch covering loads of engines and target cars
  • IKEA Prop Pack: 35 props, available now, for anyone who dreams of building a showroom out of bookshelves
  • City Life series rewards: A Gashapon Machine collectible, a Master Chief outfit, a player badge, three car horns and an emote
  • Returning favourite: The Edamame Time Attack Circuit is back for the series

The car list is where it gets properly fun, because the free Festival Playlist rewards lean hard into tiny, quirky machines, including the 2016 Honda S660 Alpha, the 1970 Honda N600, the 2025 Citroën Ami, the 1987 FIAT Panda and the 1966 Hillman Imp, which is the most British car imaginable sat in the middle of Tokyo.

Fun FactThe Citroën Ami is a tiny electric quadricycle with a top speed of around 28mph, so if you’ve ever wanted to be the slowest thing on the Shuto Expressway by a very embarrassing margin, City Life has you covered.

What About the Car Pass Cars?

If you own the Car Pass, or the Deluxe, Premium or Premium Upgrade editions that include it, you’ll get one new car each week starting on 5 November, as listed by Final Weapon:

  • 5 November: 2025 Ford Mustang GTD
  • 12 November: 2025 Volkswagen Electric Buzz
  • 19 November: 1983 Nissan 240RS
  • 26 November: 2025 Porsche Macan GTS

The 240RS is the real gem here, a homologation rally car most people have never seen in the metal, while a Porsche SUV and an electric camper van are, let’s say… certainly choices!

Why Did Playground Wipe the Leaderboards?

Every PR Stunt leaderboard has been reset to coincide with the new series, after the studio found illegitimate scores and patched the exploits being used to set them, and honestly, that’s the right call, because a leaderboard full of impossible numbers isn’t a leaderboard, it’s a monument to whoever found the glitch first.

There are plenty of quality-of-life fixes too, with map discovery finally reaching 100% once you’ve explored every region, Festival Playlist points needed for new cars reduced, solo Seasonal Championships now respecting your chosen difficulty, and the Ginetta G40 Junior getting a well-deserved nerf after enjoying a rather unfair advantage in its PI class.

Quick NoteIf you missed a Series 6 Week 1 Daily Challenge or a Series 5 Week 4 Weekly Challenge because of a bug, you’ve been given the points retroactively, but you’ll need to visit the Series 5 British Automotive playlist in Playlist History to claim them.

Is the City Life Update Worth Coming Back For?

If you’ve drifted away from Forza Horizon 6, then yes, this is a genuinely solid reason to come back, because two permanent routes, free kei cars and fewer playlist points needed for rewards all add up to a better game for everyone, not just those who paid extra for the Car Pass.

PS5 owners, meanwhile, are still waiting, with the PlayStation version due on 26 January 2027 alongside the first expansion, and early access from 21 January, which lines up with what we reported when the Forza Horizon 6 PS5 release date leaked, so at least the wait is nearly over and by then you’ll get all of this content in one go!
